EXCEL Swim Lessons

We think we have the best Swim Lesson program in the City. Low swimmer to teacher ratios, great instructors, a well thought out program, and constant supervision by our deck supervisors ensures the best environment for learning to swim.

Our lesson program has three stages. The first stage, Swimmer ONE and Swimmer TWO, focuses on getting the swimmer comfortable in the pool. It is also where we expect to see independent movement in the water (not touching the side or bottom of the pool , or holding on to the instructor).

The second stage, Swimmer THREE and Swimmer FOUR, is where we teach the fundamentals of the swimming strokes. This is where "real" swimming begins.

The third and final stage, Swimmer FIVE and Swimmer SIX is where we work on perfecting the swimmer's technique. It's difficult to master these levels, but when you do, you will be an Excellent swimmer.

Excel Swim Team

Excel Swim Team is an entry level competitive program. Swimmers train twice per week, 60 minutes long per class. Each session runs for 4 or 5 weeks. Mini-meets are held the last week of each session. While it is a Swim Team program, focus is on skill development and personal improvement.

This program is for those who are strong swimmers and are looking for more of a challenge than lessons provide. Swimmers entering the program should be able to swim 25 meters unassisted and at our Swimmer 4 level or AquaQuest 8.

Listed below are the individual criteria for each level in both Lessons and swim team.
